Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moore is an Hollywood writer and actress Her talent has gained her recognition and critical acclaim. Sagittarius is her birth name, and she was born in North Carolina on 3 December 1960. She's the oldest of children of Peter Moore Smith a paratrooper, and Anne who is a psychology student. She's English as well as Scottish. Moore has moved frequently with her family because of the job of her father. This made it difficult to keep or meet new acquaintances. Moore began acting in plays as she travelled with her family to Germany. It was at Boston University is where Moore completed her studies, earning an B.F.A. in 1983. A thesis on Theater. After graduation, Moore began her off-Broadway career in New York. Her first appearance was in an episode of The Edge of Night, which aired on television in 1985. She performed the double role of Sabrina Hughes and Frannie Hughes in As the World Turns, which was her breakthrough. She was on the show from 1988 to 1990 and was honored with a Daytime Emmy Award. In 1990, she made a debut in cinema through Tales from the Darkside: The Movie. Short Cuts was produced by Robert Altman in 1993 and 3 Women was released in 1997. The critically acclaimed performance of her in short-cuts (1993) was rewarded with several nominations. Moore was her first major role as a lead actress in Safe(1995). Steven Spielberg's casting of Moore in Jurassic Park: The Lost World which is among the highest grossing films from 1997, represented a huge change in Moore's career. She was awarded an SAG nomination in 1999 for the part she played in Magnolia which was a highly praised film. In 2002, she starred alongside her co-stars in The Hours which got nominated for nine Academy Awards with Nicole Kidman as well as Meryl Streep. Her other films include The Forgotten 2004 Freedomland 2006. Shelter (2010), and many more. She was also in Non-Stop (2014). Moore has been featured in many television and film productions. She has a starring role in the most recent one, which is When You Finish Saving the World (2022). In Hollywood She has also established herself as a writer for children. She released her first book Freckleface Strawberry (2007) and became an N.Y.T. bestseller. The bestseller was later made into a movie, series and even a musical. She also published My Mom is a Foreigner in 2013. Moore lives a flamboyant life as a renowned actress and novelist. Moore married John Robin back in 1984, and the couple divorced in 1996. Moore has two children along with Bart Freundlich whom she later got married in 2003. Moore's life revolves around her friends, career and family.
